Following the Russian invasion of the country in the early hours of Thursday, February 24, the capital city of Kyiv and the eastern city of Kharkiv were targeted with attacks that quickly spread across central and eastern areas of the country.

In less than 24 hours, attacks displaced people from their homes, especially in those cities and towns in the east.

Both the Pontifical Mission Societies, which are the pope's charities, and Catholic Relief Services, the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States, are working to help the Ukranian people.

We seek to break the cycle of homelessness by equipping families with minor children with the skills they need to gain self-sufficiency.  We envision a community where all members stand on solid ground with the skills and confidence they need to achieve their dreams.
 

How can you help?

VOLUNTEERS

They are looking for people who may want to work 1 on 1 with parents, serving in a supportive role. We call this Volunteers in Family Service, “VIFS” . We have a training and orientation process for VIFS

A ROOM AT THE INN

A Room at the Inn is a wonderful gift that gives twice! One vision and dream of our cluster churches is to support one bed EVERY day with a donation to the Emmaus Homeless Shelter.

LOAVES AND FISHES

The need for volunteers at the food pantry is greater than ever.  The pandemic has not only driven a greater need for the pantry's services, but it has also driven a number of changes in the way the pantry does business.  These changes are aimed at protecting staff, volunteers and clients.
